terms of service.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of TuneTrust, operated by TuneTrust Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using tunetrust.app you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use TuneTrust.

1. The service

TuneTrust is a subscription software service that allows songwriters and music collaborators to document, sign, and archive songwriting split sheets. We provide collaboration tools (lyrics, notes, voice memos), electronic signature capture, PDF generation, and a permanent vault for finalized documents.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) and legally capable of entering a binding contract. By using TuneTrust you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • Notify us immediately at info@tunetrust.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • We may terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

4. Subscriptions and billing

  • Free trial: 7 days, no credit card required at signup.
  • Paid plan: $6.99/month or $69.99/year (approximately 17% saving). Billed via Stripe.
  • Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation: you may cancel at any time from your subscription settings. Access continues until the end of the current billing period; no refunds are issued for unused time.
  • Failures: if payment fails we will attempt to collect for a short grace period before suspending access.
  • Price changes: we will give 30 days' notice of any price change by email.

5. Electronic signatures (ESIGN Act)

TuneTrust provides an electronic signature mechanism intended to comply with the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act) and, where applicable, the EU eIDAS Regulation.

By drawing or typing your signature and clicking “I agree” in the consent dialog, you confirm that:

  • You intend your signature to be legally binding.
  • You have read and understood the document you are signing.
  • You consent to conducting this transaction electronically.

TuneTrust generates an audit log for every signing action. We make no representation that electronic signatures will be enforceable in every jurisdiction; consult a lawyer if you need jurisdiction-specific advice.

6. Your content

You retain all intellectual property rights in content you create or upload to TuneTrust (lyrics, voice memos, audio bounces, split-sheet terms, signatures).

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you and your collaborators. We do not claim ownership of your songs.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content. Do not upload content that infringes third-party rights or violates any law.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use TuneTrust for any unlawful purpose.
  • Impersonate any person or entity.
  • Forge or falsify signatures or split-sheet data.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or circumvent any part of the service.
  • Upload malware or any harmful code.
  • Interfere with other users' access to the service.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. Finalized documents

Once a split sheet is finalized, it is permanently stored in the vault and cannot be deleted or modified by any party. This is by design — the immutability of finalized documents is a core feature of the service. Deleting your account does not remove finalized documents from co-signatories' vaults.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

TuneTrust is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. Your use of the service is at your sole risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TuneTrust Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of TuneTrust.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or TuneTrust shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TuneTrust Ltd, its officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your use of TuneTrust or violation of these Terms.

12. Changes to the service and terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you by email 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time with reasonable notice.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales (or the laws of the State of New York if you are a US resident), without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration or, where arbitration is not permitted, in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
